Health has been on the forefront of everyone's mind for a number of months and especially now, with kids back in school, people are looking to make changes in their homes to help their family stay well.

Did you know that our inside air is more toxic than the air outside?

This kind of information can feel rather hopeless, but the good news is that we do have control over some of the contributing factors. Air fresheners and scented candles have a significant affect on our inside air and most contain numerous chemicals and ingredients that are connected to what can become very serious health issues.

The word “fragrance”, which is found in the ingredients list for most of these products is an umbrella term that includes more than 3000 ingredients/chemicals that do not need to be disclosed according to labelling laws.

Diffusing pure essential oils is a great way to keep the air inside your home clean and avoid harmful chemicals found in off the shelf fragranced products. Diffusing essential oils has benefits for your family’s health and wellness too!

When you diffuse essential oils not only will your home smell amazing, but you’ll be at peace knowing that the air is clean and toxin-free!

You can have fun blending different essential oils to creating unique scents for every mood or season. There are so many great recipes to get the smell you want without the toxins!

When I first started diffusing essential oils I had no clue where to start. I wanted to know exactly what was to use for what. I expected to be given exact measurements like a baking recipe. Follow these steps for “the perfect chocolate chip cookie”. After asking a friend a zillion and one questions, I realized that it truthfully it doesn’t really matter when it comes to oils and diffusing!

You can mix up any blend of oils and diffuse away! If you don’t like the scent you’ve created, just add a few drops of another essential oil or start over again!

If the options feel endless and overwhelming, these 10 everyday diffuser recipes are a great place to start.
